Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn

Following her high-profile 2005 divorce from Brad Pitt, Aniston and the Wedding Crashers star dated for a year in 2006 after meeting on set of The Break-Up. Although they split, the Friends alum later gushed to Vogue, “I call Vince my defibrillator. He literally brought me back to life. My first gasp of air was a big laugh! He was lovely and fun and perfect for the time we had together. And I needed that.” But their union, she admitted, “ran its course.”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton

They found love in a hopeless place. Stefani and Shelton split from their respective spouses, Gavin Rossdale and Miranda Lambert, within two weeks of each other during the summer of 2015. In October of that year, a source told Us Weekly that the Voice costars were “a real thing.” A month later, Stefani’s rep exclusively confirmed that the pair were in a relationship, telling Us in a statement, “Gwen and Blake are longtime friends who have very recently started dating.”

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

The reality star and “Ghost Town” rapper started dating in 2012, less than a year after Kardashian filed for divorce from NBA player Kris Humphries after 72 days of marriage. West proposed in October 2013 on Kardashian’s 33rd birthday and the pair married in Florence, Italy, in May 2014. The couple went on to have four children: North, Saint, Chicago and Psalm; the latter two were delivered via surrogates.

Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart

Four months after splitting from ex-husband Marc Anthony, the Shades of Blue actress started dating the backup dancer in November 2011. The couple — who shared a 17-year age difference —  split up after two and a half years of dating in 2014. They reunited once in 2015 before going their separate ways for good in 2016.  But there aren’t any hard feelings between the former flames: Smart told Us in 2017 that Lopez is “phenomenal, phenomenal, phenomenal.”

Christina Aguilera and Matthew Rutler

The Mickey Mouse Club alum started dating Rutler — who was a former set assistant on her film Burlesque — amid her divorce from ex-husband Jordan Bratman, with whom she shares son Max. Aguilera and Rutler got engaged in 2014 — the same year their daughter Summer was born. In April 2018, the “Candyman” singer penned a sweet tribute to her love on Instagram, calling him “a wonderful father, loving man and hardest worker I know.”

Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva

The Braveheart star and Grigorieva started dating in 2009 following Gibson’s divorce from wife of 28 years, Robyn, with whom he shares seven children. The Russian musician and Gibson’s one-year relationship turned tumultuous and they found themselves in a yearlong battle over their daughter Lucia, who was born in October 2009. Grigorieva later accused Gibson of physically assaulting her, with the former couple applying for restraining orders against one another. A Gibson source told Us at the time, “They got into it, but he absolutely did not injure her.”

Following the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star filing for divorce from ex-husband Lamar Odom in 2013, she sought solace in the rapper. The pair dated for eight months before they went their separate ways in September 2014. While promoting her E! spinoff Kourtney & Khloe Take the Hamptons a month later, the Good American founder told Us of Montana, “I love memories…and I still talk to him. There’s no bad blood or anything.” Although the pair briefly reconciled for a second time, they split for good in December of that year.

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal

The Rendition costars began dating in 2007 after Witherspoon split from husband of eight years, Ryan Phillippe, a year earlier. Although Gyllenhaal moved in with the Home Again star in 2008, they later broke up in December 2009 after three years together. “She couldn’t give Jake enough and she got cold feet,” a source told Us at the time. “Jake wanted all of her.”

The Simple Life alum and the Good Charlotte musician started dating in December 2006 following Richie calling off her engagement to DJ AM (real name: Adam Goldstein) after two years together.
